Lifestyle Real Estate
David Halls became a Realtor® because he wanted to be truly happy in his career… and because the industry seemed to choose him as a representative. That satisfaction of being happy in the right career translates into a philosophy that directs each relationship David builds with his clients. He can honestly say that he looks forward to going to work each day, making the home buying and selling experience as positive as possible for his clients.
While David’s job is being a Realtor®, his biggest focus is on the people who are in the Guelph community or who are just joining the Guelph community. David wants what is best for his clients, providing honest guidance gained through knowledge and real-life experience that results in the best benefit for someone buying or selling their home.
David grew up in Guelph and, through experiencing life in other places as both a resident and avid traveller, feels strongly that this city is truly where he wants to be. He loves Guelph’s architecture, history, and small-city flavour as well as the culture the city has to offer – all within a walkable distance from his downtown home. But more than that, David loves the people of Guelph and the community that he calls home.
Jan Sundwall feels a strong connection to Guelph and the people who choose to live here, and cares deeply about her clients and her community. For Jan, being a Realtor® goes far beyond working with customers to buy and sell homes. Being a Realtor® means getting to know her clients, hearing their stories and helping them make one of the biggest decisions in their lives. Helping and caring with humour and compassion are the basis of Jan’s approach to her work and her lifestyle.
Jan is a University of Guelph graduate who came to the city for an education and stayed, worked, and taught in the area. She loves the diversity of Guelph, the culture here and the way this growing area has maintained its small town feel of connectedness and sharing. Jan’s connection to Guelph goes beyond serving the residents in their home-buying needs. She stays active through curling and golfing and gives back to her community through volunteer work with Hospice.
Not only do David and Jan sponsor the Thursday Lifestyle League, they also participate in it.

Meridian Credit Union
Since our founding, Meridian’s commitment to helping every Member achieve their best life has never wavered. By focusing on what is at the heart of our Members’ lives — their families, homes, businesses, and communities — we are working to fulfill a role as partner, advisor, and supporter.
As Ontario’s largest credit union, with more than 365,000 Members, we’re committed to providing exceptional banking services and advice. We also have a role to play that goes beyond financial services. Our commitment to Members and communities is rooted in this fundamental belief.
Unlike some of the larger financial institutions, we don’t have public shareholders. Our Members are owners – that means that any profit we make goes back into improving our products and services, and innovating new ways to enhance our Members’ lives.
By helping Members build overall resilience, we hope to make the tough moments a little less tough, and the good moments a little more great. By doing this together, Canadians can truly achieve better lives.

Neighbourhood Group of Companies
Local Matters
We operate restaurants that promote locally crafted food and beverages while championing the farmers and producers that make them. This in turn keeps more money within the local economy and protects our local food systems for future generations.
People First
We love the community we’re surrounded by – from our team members to the guests we serve every day to the farmers and makers we purchase from to the non-profits making a difference. We see our business as the business of people and all of our decisions are driven by a commitment to our neighbourhood and being more human.
No Planet B
Sustainabilty and stewardship underpins everything we do as an organization and we see whatever impact we may have through that lense. How does our carbon footprint impact the next generation in the neighbourhood? What trees are we planting for them to enjoy the shade?

The Village at Arbour Trails
The Village of Arbour Trails offers our full range of retirement living options just across Stone Road from the University of Guelph. It shares a unique proximity to its neighbours in The Village by the Arboretum, whose residents are regular visitors.
Integration with the surrounding community is a core value at Schlegel Villages, and Arbour Trails offers a fine example of this integration in action. It’s not uncommon at all to see outside community groups running meetings or hosting events in the Village’s common spaces, and it’s always wonderful to see neighbours coming together for events outside on the beautiful Village grounds.
Not only does the Village pride itself on providing excellent support to the seniors it serve, but it puts focus on honouring the wisdom of our elders while working to ending agism. The #ElderWisdom: Stories from the Green Bench podcast, with hosts Kathy Buckworth and Evelyn Brindle (resident at The Village of Erin Meadows in Mississauga) is a virtual place to share, learn, grow, laugh and more in conversations with a variety of guests. The Green Bench is a symbol of elder wisdom. Physically or virtually, the bench invites us all to sit alongside a senior, share a conversation, or give and offer advice.
